Did you know? The Georgia Tech Undergrad Co-op Program has been in continuous operation since 1912, and is the fourth oldest program of its kind in the United States.

GT Internship Application Process

To be eligible for the Georgia Tech Internship Program, students must possess a 2.0 or above GPA and be in good academic standing.  They must also have completed 30 or more academic credits.  Students with fewer than 30 earned credits are encouraged to join the Co-op Program.

I. To Apply

Go to the P2D2 homepage to create a new student intern account.  This will allow you to use P2D2 to schedule meetings with your advisor and view jobs.  However, you will not have access to apply for jobs until you’ve completed internship orientation.

NOTE: If you already have a P2D2 account for the co-op program, contact your co-op advisor to transfer to the internship program.

If you are a Student Athlete, you must obtain an eligibility letter from your athletic academic advisor to submit to the Division of Professional Practice.

II. To Look For An Internship:

a.)  Complete Orientation:  Either attend a one-hour internship orientation or view the on-line orientation and take the quiz: GT Internship Orientation (click on view slide show from beginning to hear audio), How to Use the P2D2 Job Database

b.)   Meet with Intern Advisor:  Use P2D2 to schedule a meeting (MS Word | Adobe PDF) with an internship advisor.  Be sure to bring a copy of your resume to the meeting as well as any questions you may have about the job search process.  Click here for sample resumes as well as resume tips  (link to Resume Tips word doc).

c.)    Conduct your Job Search:  Click here for resources that can be used to find an internship. We recommend checking both P2D2 and CareerBuzz regularly for new jobs postings.  Remember to contact your internship advisor to schedule on-campus interviews.

III. To Register An Internship:

Once you accept an internship, registering your internship through the Division of Professional Practice is easy and has many benefits!  Click here to find out how to register your internship.
